Disconnection Procedure

It is important for all employees of SWSC and customers to understand that disconnection of water supply will always be the last resort that the company will apply to tactfully entice and lobby difficult customers pay their overdue outstanding bills.

SWSC is mandated to disconnect water supply to all customers whose bills have not been settled 14 days from bill production date. Bill distribution is done from 21st to 25th of every month. However, disconnections may be conducted daily especially to customers who are owing over 30 days for one reason or another such as an abrogation of repayment plans.

Any disconnection attracts a penalty fee that should be paid when a customer is demanding for a reconnection of water supply.

The customer shall only be put back on water supply upon full settlement of arrears

All customers who have their water supply disconnected at their premises will be required to pay reconnection fee as in the approved tariff schedule by NWASCO

No customer will be exempted from paying reconnection fee unless there was an unjustified disconnection.

Water reconnections will be done between 08:00 and 17:00 hours Monday to Thursday except on Fridays, holidays and weekends. If the payment is made in the afternoon, water reconnection will be done the following business day

All payments made for water reconnections must be paid by cash, bank certified cheques or personal cheques
